Please note: this module can add to your journey in China. It is designed to fit with our journeys starting and ending in Chengdu but can be booked as a standalone journey if you prefer.

We aim to be consistent but if there is any discrepancy the Booking Conditions take precedence.

Inclusions

Airport transfers: so long as you provide us with flight details in advance we arrange an English-speaking local guide and an air-conditioned vehicle with driver to meet you from the airport and transfer you to your hotel. The guide will provide assistance at check-in if required. We also arrange a final departure transfer for your last day. You may request a transfer from/to another location at the time of booking. Transfers are normally arranged for the first and last day of the itinerary. If you book additional nights with us then we will change the dates accordingly.
Local guides: We hire guides with detailed local knowledge for certain sites en-route. When the group consists of 5 or less participants the Local Guides will act as Journey Leader and have responsibility for delivering the travel services according to your itinerary whilst the group is visiting their city.
Journey Leader: When there are 6 or more participants your group will be lead throughout by a suitably qualified guide. This person will be our representative and has responsibility for delivering the travel services according to your itinerary.
Food and drink: we include many meals throughout the journey, especially breakfasts at hotels and when the group are travelling together. A soft drink is included with each lunch or dinner and tea/coffee and juice for breakfasts. We do leave some meals free for you to go off on your own and explore. You can see which meals are included on the day-by-day itinerary.
Entrance Fees: We include the cost of entrance fees to all sites listed in your itinerary. You should allow some money for other sites that you may wish to visit on your own. Not all sites have an entrance fee.
Gratuities: We have included gratuities for service providers encountered on a normal journey, and for expected levels of service.

Exclusions

International flights: We do not sell flights to China. Your package includes only services in China. Flights from China can be purchased as an Extra Service.
Airline additional charges: Where we include a domestic flight in China you are responsible for any additional charges imposed by the airline including those relating to baggage in excess of the standard allowance (normally 20 kilograms).
Visa fees: You are responsible for obtaining the correct visa for your journey and for all costs associated with that visa application.
Other sites: There are many other sites that you could visit during your journey. We cover the cost of those sites included in the itinerary. You are responsible for all other entrance fees.
Drinks: You are responsible for the cost of all drinks other than those provided with included meals.
Journey Leader tip: Your Journey Leader is not included in the standard gratuities. We expect you will thoroughly appreciate their services throughout your journey and will tip accordingly.

It is not necessary to specify a date with this option although you will be given the option to enter your arrival date in China during checkout. We will email you afterwards to ensure that we understand your plans correctly.

All requests are subject to availability. Deposits will be refunded in full if the option is not available.
